New technology in photography

Photosynth Technology :

With the advancement in technology, new techniques in photography are prominent. The Photosynth technology would be at the top of the list. An important thing to be noted here is that photosynth does not use a video but a collection of photographs. All photographs are linked to each other. Here is an illustration of Photosynth. Find out why photosynth is so different :

Microsoft ICE Technology:

Microsoft ICE (Image Composite Editor) is an easy way for photo stitching. That which Adobe Photoshop takes 10 minutes to do will be ready with ICE in 2 minutes. Just like Photosynth, ICE requires a collection of photographs. But, from the photographer's end, I would say that Microsoft ICE is just the opposite to that of Photosynth. This is because Photosynth needs photographs of an object taken from different positions. However, Microsoft ICE needs photos taken from one single location. All the photos will be then stitched and made into a panorama. Here I have created a panorama with the help of Microsoft ICE. The attractive look of the photographs can be displayed with the amazing 3D environment. All you have to do is to upload your panorama into Pano2VR which is another program that helps us achieve this final look. Here is another work by me in its full effect with the combined effort of Microsoft ICE and Pano2VR :
